SXSW 2021

Healthcare Amid COVID: Virtual Support & Advocacy

Description:

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the healthcare industry to quickly pivot to a virtual operating environment. To ensure patients could continue receiving vital care despite this sudden and seismic shift in the delivery of treatments and services, health advocacy organizations have mobilized to provide support and resources. This session will explore this transition, including how the use of virtual resources in patient advocacy has changed, and what the lasting impact of that change will be for patients and advocacy organizations. Speakers will also discuss importance of collaboration and partnerships for successful virtual patient advocacy, such as the COVID Advocacy Exchange from Bristol Myers Squibb and GRYT Health.
