SXSW 2021
The Future of Women in Music
Description:
In this panel, we will examine the past, present, and future of the role of women in the music industry, specifically music business. We will discuss the recent rise in female artists, and discuss why that has not necessarily translated to more women working in music behind the scenes.
We have assembled 3 women who work in different genres of music, at the top of their fields. Together we will discuss how this is changing, how the industry is pivoting to become more women-run than ever, and how we can continue to lead this change in the future.
