SXSW 2020

Creating a World Without Health Inequalities

Description:

Half of the world’s population (4 billion people) lack access to basic health services, and this, paired with a decline in health workers, means individuals in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) are increasingly vulnerable to significant health risks. Through their Global Health Initiative, Ada Health is leveraging AI to help underserved populations build their health literacy and take control of their healthcare. This panel will share how the Initiative is working to improve maternal, child, and adolescent health benefits; empower community health workers; and decrease suicide rates in LMICs such as East Africa, India and Romania. You’ll also hear how AI has the power to truly equalize access to healthcare on a global scale.
