Packing Away the Plastic: Earth-Saving Solutions
Description:
With a mission to eliminate plastic pieces from our oceans, rivers, and landfills, these top executives are using innovation to tackle one of our biggest global problems. Out of the 300 million tons of plastic waste generated globally, 8 million tons of plastic end up in the world’s oceans every year. But is it possible to reverse the effects of 79% of all plastic waste accumulating in landfills or the natural environment? In this session, Zume, The Ocean Foundation and Method will be candid about the issues our world is facing around plastic waste and how today’s consumers and businesses can stop being the problem and start being the solution. Each speaker will share insights and data to equip others to take action against plastic pollution and invest in a sustainable future.
