SXSW 2020

My life as a round hole in a square peg business

Description:

5 years ago I was headhunted for a newly created position of Creative Director at a software company that had been disrupted by an upstart SaaS company. I was described by a senior manager at the time as a round hole in a square peg business. To say I was a fish out of water is an understatement. In this session I will share how I survived, thrived, and drove cultural change across the business. There will be life lessons aplenty for any creative person contemplating life on the clientside.
