SXSW 2020
Connection Between Music, Design and Society
Description:
Taiwan is at the forefront in terms of freedom of expression. It is rated the freest in the East Asia region. There is a great deal of debate on a personal or nationwide level when it comes to political or social issues.
Golden Melody Awards is an iconic music award in the Chinese-speaking region. We had the chance to package the design for the award ceremony and took into consideration the political climate and trending social issues. Our design was about making certain statements, addressing some of the issues but in the end, it is about unification, that regardless of our differences, we can only move forward as a whole. It is also about our culture, how we embrace all that is unique to Taiwan. Design can make an impact, it can give back and enable discussion.
