SXSW 2020

How to Build Accessible Products for all Audiences

Description:

This panel is going to be focusing on making products and support accessible for everyone by using appropriate language, offering assistance in places where it may not be expected or traditional, and creating product functionality that everyone is able to use. Oftentimes when people think of "accessibility" they think of making products usable for screenreaders or neurodiverse users, but they don't think about people that might not have access to things like credit cards or bank statements, running water or hospital records. Sometimes even the language that we use alienates audiences. In this panel we will discuss these important issues and shed light on how modern companies can be doing better to make products accessible for everyone.
