Assuring Quality Higher Education: A New Approach

For decades, assessment of higher education quality has been led by an insular network of organizations, comprised of peers motivated to preserve the status quo of the academy. Students, policymakers and employers are asking about the value of higher education, seeking clarity around tangible learning outcomes and desirous to better connect education to employment. Is there an alternative approach to the age-old quality assurance process that can assure quality and value for today’s students?
