Graduating from an Accelerator? What's Next?
Description:
When a startup graduates from an accelerator, they generally take one of four paths: fundraising, bootstrapping, attending another accelerator, or shutting down. This panel of startup leaders will discuss the the opportunities available to startups and how to leverage those experiences to grow. Moderator, Claire Hansen of Central Texas Angel Network, will represent the voice of early stage investors. Lou Ellman, founder of RoyaltyZone, will share his experience as a successful bootstrapper. Mike Millard, Managing Director of MassChallenge, will share the accelerator perspective. And entrepreneur Mokshika Sharma will share the ups and downs that eventually led her to shut down two startups. Join us for a diverse and engaging conversation about the post-accelerator realities for startups.

Takeaways
- Accelerators are a great way to get your startup off the ground but many critical decisions you make as a founder will come after graduation.
- Depending on what your Accelerator's focus, you may walk away still underprepared to seek investment.
- Although stigmatized, shutting down your startup is a legitimate option that many founders don't openly talk about.
