SXSW 2019
Government + Private Sector: It’s All About Trust
Description:
Technological innovation is spearheaded by private companies. This has allowed for a massive democratization of technology and faster paces of development, but leaves some of the most important functions of society lagging far behind the consumer market. In order to keep pace and foster greater innovation, the U.S. government is increasingly reaching out to form partnerships with the private sector. With ethical concerns from the public and employees, forming a solid bridge between government and private companies will take time, but is critical. In this session, we will discuss the obstacles to these partnerships, the significance to a strong synergy between both sides, and how private and public sectors are working together on technological innovation for the greater benefit of society.
