SXSW EDU 2019
Don’t Have to Learn (English) Like a Refugee
Description:
For the last six years, the number of refugees worldwide has increased, now surpassing 68m people—more than UK's entire population. In the face of complex international conflicts, emerging technologies enable refugees to pursue education in the face of extraordinary odds. This session will give an inside look into how edtech is creating pathways to opportunity for refugees, and share stories that reflect the potential for education innovations to transform the lives of refugee learners.
