SXSW 2019

How to Implement Blockchain in Social Services

Description:

Wondering why so many blockchain experiments never reach implementation? Learn from best practices for implementing blockchain applications with impact on social services. Since 2017 the first applications were implemented in major healthcare and government organizations. Best practice applications are initiated by the problem owner and are co-created by diverse partners. Essential is the combined development of technical and organizational/business aspects within legal boundaries.
We’ll discuss the lessons learned from two implementation cases:
1) a poverty support budget for children in the municipality of Zuidhorn by Team Forus;
2) a registration system for maternity care to decrease the administrative burden for healthcare providers and insurance companies by Ledger Leopard.
