SXSW EDU 2019
Philosophy + Art is a fun exercise for the brain
Description:
How can we improve the well-being of children? By coupling practical philosophy with art making, children will be guided to explore and express their views on the world. Hence, they feel empowered and fearless in their lives. This methodology is based on a new program with a cohort of 5000 French and American children. The results show that a curriculum which promotes critical as well as creative thinking leads to well-adjusted children who perform better in reading, writing and mathematics.
