SXSW 2019
Combining Media Forms for New Realities
Description:
NxtMedia in Trondheim, Norway has set up VR Norway, a media cluster for establishing research, training and commercialization of digital media exploring VR/AR/MR and 360 video technologies. We are engaging a collaboration between academia, industry and the start-up community, gathering more than 30 members in its starting phases. The panel is set up to show the unique collaboration through use cases from VR Norge, its main commercial collaborator EoN Reality and WAN-IFRAs GAMI, its vehicle for bringing the ideas to a global scene. Our approach is to acknowledge the narrative as the key factor for Extended Realities (XR), bringing in News media together with industry applications of VR/AR/MR and moving this onto the SME start-up scene.
