SXSW 2019

Where the Wild Things Are

Description:

The children’s book, Where the Wild Things Are, is a story of a boy named Max who is sent to his room without dinner (Most of us know it well). Max finds himself sailing to an island, and upon his arrival, discovers both terrible and fantastic beasts—the Wild Things. As he gets to know these Wild Things, he befriends them and becomes their king.

In this future focused talk, we’ll explore the convergence of immersive technology (XR) and AI discussing the terrible and fantastic conjecture of a world where these technologies are prevalent, who the explorers are that will be taming these wild concepts, and where these “wild” technological advancements are going to take the world of tomorrow.

  2. There are socially responsible ways that we can drive AI and XR forward that unlock the potential of these technologies.
  3. We can be optimistic about the future convergence of AI and XR as we as humans are the wildest most imaginative things of all.
