SXSW 2025

Interactive Real-Time Animation System

Description:

We'd like to present a new, innovative live-time motion capture system for 3D animation based on inertial systems. The technology uses Unreal Engine to transfer physical movement of the operator to the CGI image of the character, taking advantage of its real-time rendering. This allows not only for a time-efficient animation of the character with full control of image in live-time, but also, e.g. for live shows, the interaction of a digital character with the public.
The versatility of this system allows the creation of different formats beyond the classic program broadcast on TV.

Takeaways

  1. How the system works and where its innovation lies - we will present how it optimizes the work and gives new possibilities in creation of CGI.
  2. How different industries can work with the system, what are its possible applications and what content we can create using it for different clients
  3. What are the system's limitations and restrictions and how to turn them into a creative factor
