SXSW 2025
Facilitating Investment into US Underserved Communities
Description:
While programs and policies have mobilized billions of dollars into underserved markets in the United States since at least the 1970s, stark inequality across markets persists: capital concentrates in some markets, while value and growth opportunities are unaddressed in underserved markets.
Our session will shine a light on the hard work that community leaders are doing to use the tools of impact investing and blended finance to unlock investment in underserved markets across the US, and how this work could be expanded. Our paper will rely heavily on our own research: bit.ly/3zMEeKH
