SXSW 2025
Driving Lasting Change With Holistic Digital Accessibility
Description:
Many organizations want to be more accessible but do not know whose responsibility it is or how to scale it. This session explores how the responsibility cuts across all layers – individuals, teams, communities, culture, and policy – and change is interdependent on one other. Accessibility is amplified by coordinated, connected, and consistent efforts at each level, including involvement of People with Disabilities (PwD). Discover how we might use public health tools, like the Socio-Ecological Model, to create a holistic systems approach and drive lasting change in digital accessibility.
