SXSW 2025
Artificial Intelligence, Immigration and Access to Justice
Description:
Mention of artificial intelligence and immigration in the same sentence often elicits both skepticism and fear. But if harnessed correctly, generative AI tools have the potential to dramatically improve access to justice and the lives of immigrants in America – from DACA recipients and those pursuing naturalization, asylum seekers and refugees – as they navigate a mazelike immigration system.
This session will explore current advocacy efforts and cross-sector collaboration around AI and immigration as well as innovative new public interest technology platforms being developed.
