Employee Engagement – Story of Unrequited Love

Motivation, Passion and Commitment are intrinsic to us. We have created a ONE sided burden for leaders, HR, and managers to drive them for an individual(s) to create "workplace engagement". An entire billion++ dollar industry further corroborates this approach through "employee engagement tools". It's time we EDIT the construct to replace employee engagement with “Employee Alliance”. Employee alliance being defined as: A mutually beneficial alliance that holds both employee and employer responsible for a committed and impactful relationship.
