SXSW 2025

Women & War: From Strangers to Sisters, Fighting for Freedom

Description:

Join us during Women’s History Month for a dynamic discussion featuring a diverse group of women activists and advocates who met during the 2021 Afghanistan evacuation. Our panel draws on the lived experiences of U.S. military veterans, an immigration attorney, and Afghan refugees who met as strangers during a time of extreme crisis and quickly built deep bonds of sisterhood to change countless lives. They will share their struggles and successes to catalyze change and uplift women and girls as they continue to fight for their freedoms across the world.
