SXSW 2025
The Hidden Pink Tax Fueling High Healthcare Costs for Women
Description:
The healthcare cost crisis is getting worse. Rising insurance costs, expensive prescriptions, and barriers to healthcare access all disproportionately impact women more than men – regardless of health condition. As more healthcare costs are shifted to consumers, and women specifically, this panel will explore the urgent need to lower out-of-pocket healthcare costs and how doing so can relieve pressure on our healthcare system, support a healthier population and reduce social stigmas about women’s health.
