NASA's Packing for the Moon: Food, Water, Oxygen... Wi-Fi?
Description:
We’re headed to the Moon and our bags are packed… but how’s the Wi-Fi? In 2050, people will live on the Moon. What are the lunar essentials? Water, food, oxygen - and internet! NASA is bringing internet-like capabilities to the Moon so humans and their rovers can freely chat across the surface and back to Earth to exchange vital mission information. This panel will discuss topics like the new lunar time standard and lunar communications and navigation. It also will examine how we create these standards with our international partners.
