SXSW EDU 2025

No Superheroes Needed: A new Model for Leadership.

Description:

As challenges mount in public schools, many educators are reaching their breaking point. The way roles are structured in schools makes it nearly impossible to give new teachers the support they need – and deserve. We must create more teacher leaders and give them the time, support and authority to coach other teachers and solve problems. But we can’t just pile new roles on top of the old system – everyone’s role must change so that staff, administrators and the principal are all operating at the right level. Learn how this new model for distributing school leadership can change the game.
