SXSW 2025
It’s All About Water
Description:
The world is waking up to the new and increasingly extreme challenges facing our relationship to water in the wake of climate change. The impact in poor and rural areas due to mudslides, drought and clean water accessibility is devastating. But also in some of the world's largest and wealthiest cities the water is wreaking havoc. Since hurricane Sandy (2012) left 20 billion dollars of damages in its wake, New York City has led the pack in designing resilient infrastructure that both provides protection and improves communities’ quality of life, using Dutch expertise of urban water design.
