SXSW 2025
GenAI's Breakthrough in Prison Education
Description:
JSTOR Access in Prison has demonstrated that people who are incarcerated can use GenAI safely to enhance their ability to find, understand, and use knowledge. Equipping people who are incarcerated with the same digital tools available to their non-incarcerated contemporaries is an essential component of social justice and digital equity. We want to share the GenAI tool, demonstrate how it works, and explore its impact on incarcerated learners.
