SXSW 2025
Reclamation City: A Digital Twin Project
Description:
Reclamation is a collaboration between Arizona State University’s program on Narrative and Emerging Media, alongside LA Trade Tech Architecture and Environment Design, Professor Marcela Oliva, XR/AI Creative Producer & Strategist, Kathleen Cohen, the California Dept. of Transportation/Caltrans, and local agencies. Reclamation City is a project that trains community partners and surrounding neighborhoods to create and implement digital twins, uses the designs to transform blighted urban areas into immersive green spaces, and provides long-lasting workforce skills for a more, "just future".
