SXSW EDU 2025
Centering Mental Health In Middle School Career Readiness
Description:
80% of kids as young as middle school are already stressed about what they’re going to do when they grow up. This anxiety has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, social and political unrest, and the meteoric rise of technologies, such as AI. Moreover, the development of healthy social-emotional skills is more important than ever, as these shifts make it necessary to prioritize durable human skills that cannot be copied by tech. This panel will feature leaders from organizations who are leveraging career exploration to increase student engagement and ensure kids feel seen and supported.
