SXSW EDU 2025

Creating Cultures of Neuroinclusion

Description:

Creating cultures of neuroinclusion is work at the intersection of neurodiversity, disability, mental health, and LGBTQIA+ advocacy. It is about destigmatizing and depathologizing differences and rejecting the idea that people are "disordered" or "deficient" when they think, learn, move, act, or love differently from society's idea of "normal". Cultures of neuroinclusion center intersectionality, accessibility, and agency. It is up to each individual to determine their own access and support needs. Especially for leaders, teachers, mental health/health professionals and parents.
