SXSW EDU 2025
Data Education 101: Workshop for State & District Leaders
Description:
From North Carolina to California, the push to prioritize data science education is gaining momentum. Yet, fewer than 1% of students will have taken a data course by high school graduation, and navigating the many emerging technologies can be overwhelming. Drawing on evidence from the field, this workshop will break down successful strategies implemented by state and district pioneers to expand access to data science in K-12 classrooms. Collaborate with education leaders as you learn how to design approaches your state or district can leverage to embed 21st-century skills into the curriculum.
