SXSW EDU 2025
Co-Creating Policy & Implementation Strategies with GenZ
Description:
In 2022, a grassroots coalition in Arizona successfully persuaded voters and politicians to provide in-state tuition and financial aid for over 65,000 undocumented students to attend college. Two years into implementation, we learn how this grassroots effort of youth, neighbors, and organizers are banding together to ensure they deliver on Prop 308’s promise for Arizona’s undocumented Gen Z. As the implementation phase and the momentum towards progress and equity ramps up it introduces new challenges, particularly as the nation faces a new wave of immigration scrutiny.
