SXSW EDU 2025
Creativity Everywhere, All the Time
Description:
Creativity does not belong in a silo. Creativity is all around us. This is one of seven Big Ideas identified in an upcoming book on creativity in early childhood. Two specific questions are central to this Big Idea and will guide this session: what kind of space nurtures creativity? and where do we find such spaces? Creativity exist in both a classroom and an informal learning space such as in libraries and museums. Focusing creativity on both environments leads to the conclusion that it does not exist in isolation rather it is the responsibility of an entire community.
