SXSW EDU 2025
Science Fair Projects Engage Students in Scientific Inquiry
Description:
The new science standards in effect this school year require students to define a problem, use scientific practices to design solutions, conduct experiments, analyze data, and communicate results. These steps are essentially the foundation of science fair projects and scientific inquiry. Discover how to meet these new standards as well as national standards by allowing your students to create projects for a science and engineering fair. When students select their own topics, they are highly motivated and learn skills that go well beyond the required standards.
