SXSW 2025

Black Women in Period Care: Empowering Your Cycles

Description:

People with vaginas have historically been stigmatized and shamed for their bodily processes, and those of color are disproportionately affected by period poverty, but these Black female founders are working to change that. Within our community, periods are met with aversion, forcing us into harmful silence. This panel will be a platform to highlight some of the Black women working in menstrual equity to better the experiences of people with vaginas.
