SXSW 2023
How AI Can Save Us from Climate Change
Description:
Rising oceans are a threat to communities globally. Warming oceans are a major driver of climate change — and a sweet spot for autonomous, AI-enabled platforms. Between uncrewed vehicles, network sensors, and deep-learning algorithms, robots and AI hold promise to revolutionize our understanding of the global climate. Can AI help mitigate the worst impacts of climate change-related crises? How can AI be leveraged to prevent future climate crises? What are some of the best-case scenarios we can credibly imagine, and how can we work towards making those scenarios into reality?
