SXSW 2023
Women: You're STILL Only Worth 2% of VC Funding
Description:
2% of VC Funding went to women founded companies in 2021 despite them outperforming by 63%. The female funding growth curve has been flat between 2008 to 2021, as has the workplace revolution surrounding these metrics. Despite focus and advocacy on this topic, the change rate over the past 15-years has been .2%. Who is responsible for this? How do we bring meaningful change? This dynamic panel session will bring the perspective of an investor/female founder ally, a former female founder, and a community driven advocate to discuss how we bring about workplace revolution to enable this much needed change.
