SXSW 2023
Hawaii Can Help You Save the Planet, Listen Up
Description:
Hawaii and its people stand as some of the original innovators in modern times, having installed working electricity in the ‘Iolani Palace before the White House, or sending ships across its islands and well beyond across the Pacific Ocean, as King Kalakaua was the first reigning monarch to circumnavigate the globe in 1881. A hunger and thirst for innovation and has always been a mainstay of Hawaii’s culture, and it continues today as founders, policymakers, and investors work to design and develop the solutions that transform our global climate future.
