SXSW EDU 2023

Learning from Nipsey: Designing for Application

Description:

We will examine the selfless legacy of Ermias Asghedom aka Nipsey Hussle; specifically, the “buying back the hood” framework and community-centered design framework that propelled the brand and artistry of “Nipsey Hussle” into a legendary, iconic, force of revolutionary proportions in the Black community, the music industry, property development, fashion, and more. Through critical examination of social insights we highlight HOW to design with intention and application beyond theory.
