SXSW 2023
Keychange U.S. 2023 Trailblazers in Gender Equity!
Description:
Who is leading the conversation on gender equity, diversity & inclusion in the music industry? A long list of powerful women & influencers! In 2022 Keychange U.S. launched, building on the European movement. By collaborating with fierce change-makers Women in Music, shesaid.so, Diversify the Stage & EqualizeHer + allies A2IM, MusicBiz, TuneCore, Downtown, Symphonic Distribution & more, we bring fresh ideas to the cause. Leading orgs like Recording Academy & Live Nation have implemented D&I roles with BIPOC leadership to address grave underrepresentation of women & gender-minority artists at the Grammy’s, in engineering or C-level leadership. Following #metoo, #BLM, the Roe v. Wade decision & a global pandemic, we can’t imagine a future for the music industry without gender equity, can you?
