Asian Women Leadership and Why It Matters
Description:
Asian women are still seen by their negative stereotypes and because of this we are rarely seen in leadership roles. A survey from Catalyst.org mentioned that Asian women represent 2.7% in leadership and management roles in the US in 2021. This session will focus on ways talking about the challenges Asian women and how we can break the glass ceiling to build more leaders to empower our community. There will be case studies that will discuss the result of Asian women in leadership roles and how that has open the doors for our community. This session will also talk about the importance of representation in all industries and why it matters.
