How Stories Shift Power: Climate in Film and TV
Description:
We are people living through a great transition – and yet this reality is not being reflected in the stories produced in film and TV. While climate change is radically altering our planet and our daily lives, climate narratives are either conspicuously missing from pop culture, or they focus on apocalyptic destruction. Where are the solutions? Where is the hope? Where are the visions of an equitable climate future? This panel brings together a diverse group of folks who are actively trying to shift the climate narrative within television and film – from doom and gloom (or lacking altogether), to stories of hope, justice, and equitable progress.
