In the midst of turbulent times, with public market volatility and heightened geopolitical tensions, the state of women in venture capital (VC) on both the investor and startup side remains encouraging. Though there is still a long way to go, the infrastructure needed to continue growth and investment into women at VC firms and women-founded companies is solidifying. In 2021 alone, companies founded solely by women garnered 2.4% of the total capital invested in venture-backed startups in the US, but that number doesn’t tell the whole story.
