SXSW 2023

Inclusive Learning by Design: 5 Steps to Discovery

Description:

One billion people in the world are living with a permanent, situational, or temporary disability. That’s one in seven people globally. And according to the Center for Disease Control, one in four adults are living with a disability in the United States. Whether global or US specific, these numbers represent a huge part of your learning audience.
Considering differently-abled populations alongside those who don’t have access to digital technologies or do not feel represented in a learning experience can extremely expand your reach and impact of a learning experience.
By creating spaces to include all voices, we can shape the future of learning to reflect the global population and grant new pathways to learning. And design practices are the key to transform these spaces.
