SXSW 2023
Build News Trust With Underrepresented Communities
Description:
It’s widely acknowledged that many groups, such as Black and Hispanic communities, are underrepresented by news media. Crafting a successful newsroom approach to bridging the divide, however, can be daunting. This panel helps newsrooms tackle this important objective by sharing insights from newsroom leaders who have achieved success in building strong ties with underserved communities and from research that reveals how newsrooms can directly address community concerns.
