SXSW 2023
Reimagining Access to Education with XR
Description:
This session looks at how to capitalize on immersive learning to reshape work and open doors for marginalized groups in underserved communities. The accelerated nature of change left many populations behind, and exacerbated inequities in education opportunities. Simultaneously, technology is advancing as virtual worlds and physically accurate digital realms accelerate the next wave of business disruption. Organizations should consider the entire learning ecosystem to meet diversity, equity, and inclusion challenges. By exposing historically marginalized groups – who encounter significant accessibility barriers in education – to immersive physical and metaphysical experiences, organizations can better position themselves and the future workforce for the new world of work.
