SXSW EDU 2022

Creating Inclusive STEM Classrooms for All Learner

Description:

STEM fields don’t reflect the diversity of our country. Black, Latinx and Native American individuals constituted only 13% of science and engineering professionals, despite making up 31% of the population. Women account for 52% of the workforce, but only 29% of the STEM workforce. Increasing the diversity of the field starts in the classroom. Join us for a discussion on how we can create inclusive classrooms to support all students from diverse backgrounds.
