SXSW 2022
From Hollywood to Your Dashboard: The Rise in Motion Design
Description:
Motion design is a form of animation where graphic design and video collide. Found in visual media that moves from movies to apps, it brings personality to each interaction. It has extended to objects such as automobiles, where futuristic technology -- UI/UX interfaces in the cars of “Blade Runner 2049” -- created by Territory have allowed drivers to control emerging technologies embedded in their smart vehicles. Led by Victoria Nece (Senior Product Manager of Motion Graphics & Visual Effects at Adobe), luminaries from the motion design world will explore how motion graphics has shifted from the exclusive world of Hollywood to automobiles, and how this fast-growing skill set is helping General Motors define the future of digital design as we drive toward a technologically advanced future.
