Uncertainty: The Secret Lever to a Better World

Description:

Uncertainty is a prevalent fact of life in human health and across the worlds that care for it. What is uncertainty, really? What are its different types, challenges, and even opportunities? What are the invisible factors that influence performance and thinking in uncertainty? After studying uncertainty in medical practice for almost twenty years, artist Alexa Miller believes that it’s in moments of uncertainty where harm happens - or, where trust, knowledge, and true medicine get co-created. This talk shares a basic overview of what uncertainty is, why we need it, and how a simple reframe of our understanding of it is the key to a future paradigm that supports human wholeness and connection.
