SXSW 2022
Businesses’ Responsibility in Promoting Equity
Description:
Minneapolis and St. Paul were devastated by the death of George Floyd and its aftermath. Our cities faced irreparable damage and found themselves at the epicenter of a global dialogue surrounding race and equity.
And in the midst of this tragedy, businesses needed to find ways to help where they could. Would they donate supplies and volunteer their time to help rebuild? Would they fund relief organizations? How would they speak to their customers and the pressing social issues faced around the country?
What we learned in 2020 was that businesses must be part of the solution when it comes to pertinent social issues. This conversation will feature local businesses owners and the steps they took to effect positive change in a challenging and divisive time.
