SXSW 2022
Human Centric Design and the Future of Advertising
Description:
Over the past decade, the web has experienced a fundamental shift towards human-centric design: products and services designed from the point of view of the end user, with empathy and respect. However, the advertising industry has failed to keep up, with most legacy ad models still predicated on forced interruption. For the open web to survive, this must change.
In a world where everything can be skipped and muted, where the feed drives our media behaviors and beliefs, and where the phone has become an extension of our brains, now is the time to bring human-centric design to the advertising ecosystem. Dan will present a case for how marketers and media companies — from Web2.0 to Web 3 —can bring human-centric design to their revenue models and navigate the next chapter of the web.
